Any guesses on when the Dell x20 lines might drop to current x10series prices? I'm more than happy to wait a few months... This summer should see LOTS E5 V2 cpu powered cpu servers decommisioned and replaced by the newest offered. Also some V3 servers decommisioned and some V3 cpu's and V4 ES cpu's upgraded to V4. So lots of E5 V2 cpu's , and more and more V3 and V4 ES cpu's to hit ebay. The cheap V3's and V4 ES's is why I upgraded my main pc to 2011-3 and am selling my 2011 stuff while I can still get a decent price. Oh and I guess I will be rocking a Dual 32 core AMD powered workstation in about four years...................4 years is about the turnaround on a server for a data center, or until the performance/efficiency improvements are worth the update/upgrade. I'm not talking small operations, I'm talking big .....Amazon/Facebook/Google/NSA  type datacenters.
