I have a Dell Dimension 4700 running Windows XP. ( I know it's a dinosaur ) Recently I noticed the font on most websites and some programs is not very crisp, almost unreadable. But this does not look this way on all text on all websites. For example - as I type this it looks like crap but once it's posted it looks fine. I tried the resolution on the monitor but that made no difference. I'm hoping that I somehow changed something by accident but I can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The same thing happened to me a while back.  I got some reading glasses, and they cleared it right up.
