Wife uses iPhone and Facetime to keep in touch with relatives. My boy and I both have Droids and want the same capability.
I have looked at ooVoo (I think thats what is was called) and Skype. I am only concerned with the issues related to downloading crapware that will steal my address book, look at my files, make me use a login on some random "secure" site, etc etc etc Are there any video chat programs for Android that are safe? |

Used Skype while playing Army guy years ago. Don't see a reason to change. And you can use it cross-platform.
ETA: only have to sign in when using the app. Don't recall anything about connecting phone/tablet contact list to the skype account, or having to sign in through any websites. |
