| My PC will randomly freeze, sometimes will just not wake up from a nap, and sometimes will display a gray grid on the monitor. Turning it off and turning it back on again works but this is becoming more frequent. The CPU/mobo/memory/PSU are 3 years old, GPU is 7 months old and I replaced the CPU cooler about a month ago. Is there a software tool that I can get that will tell me what is failing? |
| My 6 y/o desktop started having issues, and it turned out to be swollen capacitors on the motherboard. Some are easier to spot than others. Look for the can-shaped components, and see if any have tops that look like they're bulging out. That indicates the electrolytic solution inside them is breaking down, and their capacitance values are changing. |

These are the 2 most common issues we find on a daily basis. Also check your video card and your power supply for bloated caps. |
