Getting ready to start school and my laptop died. I need a recommendation for a decent, cheap (+/-$400) laptop for school work. I will be doing online school work with flash videos/audio so that is a must.
Online banking, YouTube, etc as well, but no really intense game/graphics stuff.
Of course it will also be for arfcom too
I am not an expert on other os's so windows OS is a must.

My last two laptops have died from hard drive issues. Does anybody make a budget laptop with a solid state drive? Is it worth it for my situation?
Thanks.

Just replace the HDD and reinstall your OS of choice.

possibly, but it will increase the total cost significantly.  Perhaps you just had bad luck with HDD's
Thanks.
