I want to put a PC on a network that is connected to the internet but keep this PC off the internet and still allow full network access in windows XP.
I have no idea how to do this

Static IP the xp system and don't give it a gateway. This will only work if you dont have multiple network segments.

or use a bad gateway address.
had that happen to me. something on my network is broadcasting it is a gateway.
everyonce in a while a machine cannot access the internet, but can see the rest of my network behind the router.
