[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Any App programmers out there?

I have an idea that I need to pursue and I need help getting from the idea stage to the application stage and I am completely clueless. I know there are places that can do it for you but I am concerned about protecting my idea. Where do I go from here?

What kind of app? Web app? iOS app? Android app? desktop app? Something to run on an AS/400?

It can start as an app for iOS and Droid, as well as any of the major OS's. It is more of an interface concept but I want to develop it as an app first.
