Curious to see what ARFCOM uses for Personal Finance Software. I need some and I see that MS Money is no longer an option. I used to use Quicken but I didn't like the interface.

I think most everyone on here has spent all their money on guns, and either don't need or can't afford finance software

Seiously though - can I ask why you need software?

Mint - mint.com

Love it.

ETA - Intuit (makers of Quicken) purchased them a year or two ago. Have supposedly promised to keep it free and keep it going.

I tried Quicken for a while but it was too in depth for what I needed and the UI isn't noobie savvy. I use Mint.com with their app on my Skyrocket so my wife and I can communicate easier, or not at all really, about our finances. It goes more in depth than what we use it for.

I'm giving mint.com one last chance.  The first 2 times I ended up scrapping it after it basically blew up after I added my accounts.  This time I'm ONLY adding my credit card and categorizing those expenses (after telling it to ignore everything before July 1st).  I use this credit card for basically everything so I'm going to create some budgets and keep up with categorizing the new charges as I go.

Sorry for not replying back to this, I've been busy.

I had to rebuild my computer and I had Quicken on it but never liked it. My desire is to download account activity and know exactly where we are as I plan on paying bills.

I've heard about Mint but I've also heard the complaints about it not working at times.

I think I'll try their free trial period and see how it goes.

Mint.com doesn't have a free trial period.  It's free all the time.  If you are looking at a website and it mentions a free trial I would be very cautious

gnucash but I only do simple stuff for my financial tracking
I know it will do more than I use it for though but since I only do basic stuff I can't say for sue what all it does
