Short version...Have a Kindle Fire, wife tried to watch some shows on Hulu and Fox's website but it tells me to update the Flash player as the version is old.  I can't figure out for the life of me how to get it updated.  I tried the app store, tried Adobe's site but they don't seem to offer a version for the Kindle Fire's OS (that I can find).  Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks

Been looking for the same thing myself.Did several searches got same results=0. Don't look too good for the time being. Most of the fixes seemed way too round about  to me. I'll  hope some one comes along with an answer.

There was mention of folks having problems after the last upgrade that was pushed out by Amazon but only having had this device for a week now I don't know.

Is Amazon locking the kindle Fires down like Apple does Ipads?  I thought about buying one but not if I'm tied to Amazon and constantly having to deal with OTH updates etc.  I remember when Amazon deleted some ebooks from the regular Kindles, do they have the same control over the Kindle fire?

I don't think it has anything to do with them locking any features. Its just an Adobe Flash update that seems to be causing a confusion.

For Hulu, can't you just use the Hulu application in the Amazon store?

You don't need an Flash update.  Just go into your browser settings, and enable Flash.  It's turned off by default.

I did check that already and made sure it was turned on.  I haven't fooled with it in a while but I'll check into it again.
