Hello UC subforum,
Was checking out gizmodo and saw this device. Cube™ native integration with Livestream.com http://vimeo.com/20660563 http://teradek.com/cube.html It appears the main benefit is short range wireless video via built in WiFi. Looks interesting, but is the capabilities relatively easy to reproduce with off the shelf components? What looks interesting to me, though, is the video stream over 4G to livestream.com. So, specific to my interests, is there a relatively simple way to stream video from a video camera (built in iPhone or HD-DV camera?), through a cell phone wireless Internet connection, to a live Internet video site? Imagine, driving home with a video camera similar to the one in the teradek video, which I believe is connected to an iPhone, and broadcast the entire trip live, over the Internet. Possible? TIA! -3D |

The mobile apps from ustream and other live streaming sites already allow for smartphones with video capability to broadcast to the web over their respective cellular data networks. http://www.ustream.tv/mobile/broadcaster |
