so, long story short, i screwed up installation of win server 2008 on a separate partition of my win 7 machine.  long story short, i messed up the mbr/bcd, and had to rebuild them.  needless to say, after that little experience, i won't be messing around with dual boot on a single drive until i know i can do it right...

after that when i booted up, the boot manager gave me two options for win 7, one of which didn't work (again, long story!).  obviously i want it to just skip the boot manager entirely, and just boot with the correct loader.  my understanding was that i could achieve this by removing the other boot loaders, so it only has one to choose from.

i've followed all the instructions i've seen via google (using msconfig, bcdedit, easybcd, and advanced system settings) and appear to have accomplished this.  attached image confirms that i did it right (i think?), but i still get the boot manager with 2 options for win 7.

any ideas on what i could do to correct it?

"restore mbr" using your windows cd? If that doesn't work, install linux in dual boot. That'll rewrite your mbr. You could then delete that partition and restore mbr using your windows cd. I'm sure theres an easier way, but I like the scenic route.
