You guys will have to excuse me if I don't get this right... I'm not computer literate and as far as I'm concerned.... A computer is a evil black box....

But.... For the past month or so.... We have had connection issues with our wireless Internet.... Sometimes we can't connect at all... other times we get kicked off and can't reconnect for hours. This problem only seems to happen at certain times of the day.

When ever this issue arises... on the modem.... all the lights are lit (receive, online, etc), with the exception of the send light.... which will continue to blink.

A few times when kicked off, we've connected to the ether net by plugging in directly to the modem, sometimes it works (Internet) other times it won't.... We've also tried unplugging the modem... sometimes it works afterwards... other times it won't!

The modem is a motorola SBG900... It's what ever shitcast comcast uses for customers....

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How old is the modem? I usually replace mine every couple of years because of similiar issues.

so many variables.

the first step would be to call your internet service provider and have them check the connection.   if they see an issue they will dispatch a tech

You said, "A few times when kicked off, we've connected to the ether net by plugging in directly to the modem, sometimes it works (Internet) other times it won't..."

This means you have one of two problems:

1.  Bad modem

2.  Bad connection from the modem back to Comcast.

Either way, it's Comcast's problem to fix.

Those modems tend to fry themselves occasionally. It's very common for them to overheat (feel it sometime).

Call your provider and they'll have you fixed up in a jiffy.
