I had a print made from a slide today. However, it was reversed. I'm not of the correct term here. So, my question is how is it supposed to be printed? Should it show up on the print as if you looked through it from the front, which I will call the side with "this side towards screen" or should it be printed as looking through the back side, which is blank? Thanks. |

Assuming that the slide is in the mount correctly it should be viewed from the side that does not say this side towards screen. Film is correctly viewed when you look at it emulsion away from you. When slides are projected the emulsion side is to be facing the screen. If you aren't sure that the slide is mounted properly you can remove it from the mount and the proper viewing side is to look at it so that the edge words and numbering are right reading. |

Thanks Phil in Seattle. If I look through the non-marked side, it is correct. The reason I ask is I spent about $16 getting three prints made. I wanted to know if I should tell them they did it wrong or if I should say that since I didn't specify, I'll pay another $16. It looks like they did it wrong. I'll take it back to them Monday after work and talk to them about it. |
