Going to Disneyworld and DC.  Gonna take a 30D, 17-55 2.8, 70-200F4,580 and various stuff.  Still debating the tripod.
What are recommendations for a backpack to haul this stuff.  Not going to take the laptop.  Would like to also put water, light jacket, other stuff in the same bag.  I will be flying with it.
I was looking at the Tamrac 5549 adventure 9.

I ahve a tamrac. I think it is the model 7. Has 2 side pockets for water and a top for misc. I carry camera and extra lens and battery charger. I took itto hawaii last month and it was great.

Not sure if its quite big enough, but check out the Maxpedition Jumbo FatBoy HERE.

"Tacticool" styling and extremely durable.  Plus it will carry a full size CCW pistol when you are in a local that allows it.

Anyone interested in one of these: linkeroo?

It's a chest mounted camera rig that can attach to a pack or use the harness-thing.
It also has a basic shoulder strap.

I have one.  The actual case and the harness.  I bought it with the intention of getting a sweet SLR but I didn't do it.  Changed my plan and went with a tiny little canon point and shoot digital camera.

I sling a Lowe Pro Stealth AW

It will easily carry the load you mentioned plus a laptop

I like it because it's "thin" which allows it to fit in the overheads of the smaller planes that I frequently fly in.

ETA - we should get together for a photo safari while you're in town.
