I have no idea how to keep the dust out of them. 
I got an ION Omni Scan off the half price table. It works, it's easy to use. Couple years old and says it's 5.1MP. I am considering scraping up the cash for a better one since I have 30 years of negs and slides I want to scan. 1) resolution, more is better. Saw one with 4800x9600 for sale. Not sure how high they go. 2) types of scan: slide, neg, photo etc. more options are better. 3) don't cheap out unless you are only dabbling. |
