XBox 360 decided that it didn't want to connect to Live anymore. Performed the connection test, and it failed the first step––Network. Plugging it directly into the modem got it as far as 'attempting' to connect, but still would not connect to the internet. Took the XBox to a friend's house, and it failed to connect to the internet on his line too.
Bought another XBox, and it worked fine––-for about 13 days. The new box is now doing the exact same thing. I know my internet connection is good––I'm using it now and have watched movies on Netflix. Anybody have any ideas what's going on here? |

Everytime this happens to me (which is about once a week) it's my router dropping the XBox. I can still surf on the laptop, but have to unplug my router for a minute to reconnect. Sounds like you may have something else going on though. ![]() |

do you have your router set to only accept certain MAC addresses or IP addresses sometimes the router or xbox will drop either of those and stop sending interwebz to the xbox or the xbox wont allow the router to send it interwebz that is probably your best bet to check |
