Just curious if anyone play that sim.  I'm having a Hell of a good time and really enjoy the historical scenarios.

Anyone?

I used to play it...some great fun...once was flying an F6F off a carrier attacking an enemy airbase...got hit by AA and was going in and out of consciousness as I was landing on a carrier that was turning back and forth to avoid enemy bombers....barely made it aboard!!!

Best thing about that game was flying a P-47 with a half dozen more while escorting some B-17s to bomb the enemy factory, and encountering a dozen or so enemy fighters!

I've been playing for just over a year and am simply having a ball.  I partake in as many of the historical scenarios as possible.

My favorites planes are the Spitfire Mk IX, 109F-4, 190D-9, and P47D-40.  I chase bombers in the Bf109G-14 and 190D-9.  Yeah, the P51D and the other "uber" planes are fun, but they are too easy, IMO.  The Spitfire Mk XVI, La7, and Nik2 "George" are everyone's favorite in the game for obvious reasons: those are the easiest planes to get kills in.  The pony takes a bit of learning as it is subpar down low-n-slow but otherwise it is quite the machine.

It is truely amazing how the different aircraft are modeled so differently and with supposed historical accuracy.

The ground game is coming along nicely, too.

I highly suggest for those of you who life to fly sims to check it out.  U can download it for free and after a 2 week free trial decide on whether to stay and play.  It is worth it for sure, imo.
