So far I kinda like the game I've gotten it to run at 60fps constant (which is what its capped at for beta I heard). Moving combos are a BITCH to complete if you adjust the fov to about 110 its easier to see whats going on around you. Ultimately to me, still feels like 2k3/2k4 :(. Regardless still a fun game I think MAY have a medium sized community.

I'm looking forward to it.  I love the UT series.  I'll be getting this on my 360 though, my PC is getting too old to run all this fancy new shit, and I felt $450 for a Elite was a better investment than a new vid card for the PC...

Anyway.  Yeah, it looks good.

Looks and feels exactly like UT2004, just with different gun and player designs.

Was cautious about it before, and now I'm just totally disappointed.

maybe i missed something in the settings, but with everything turned up to max, it runs superb but looks like ultimate doom. so i would have to say there is a compatibility issue there, ill wait and try the full game.

im sure i will be plenty busy with crysis, gears of war, cod4, need for speed prostreet, juiced 2, Painkiller: Overdose, F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate, TimeShift, and Kane & Lynch: Dead Men. i can wait for UT3 .

So it plays like UT200x for you guys? Great.

Those two games were shit. I stopped playing UT2003 after a day, and if it wasn't for mods UT2004 wouldn't have lasted past a few months. I was hoping they'd go back in the direction of UT99, which I still play 'cause it was so perfect. Figures...

I still play the original UT from time to time.  I really liked UC2 on the XBox.  But, I never got into UT2K3 much.  And, UT2K4 is only on my system cause I found a Director's Cut edition for $10.  I hop into an instagib match on occasion.  I am also hoping for 'new stuff' in the new game, but then again...more UT isn't always bad.

It actually is fun unlike 2k3 and 2k4 you can't do dodge jumps and such. I've played since Ut99 and actually enjoy playing UT3.

I think it is a slight nod back to UT99,   but I had a blast playing some vehicle CTF with some friends on Saturday.

A lot of the "bling" in this one comes from the updates to the Engine. You get better effects and hotter modeling. A couple of new game types, vehicles, ect... round it out.

If you are looking for a complete remake, this ain't it. However, UT nerds like me are drooling all over this one.
