If that was all simply snoop and poop sniper stuff by shooting then moving, AWESOME job. Only time I ever get scores like that with the sniper kit is when I decide to fly a bomber or a J10 for the entire map bombing people off the face of the earth. I can't use a sniper rifle effectively in the game to save my life, literally, 1 shot kills with the POS sniper rifles often winds up getting me killed. However I'm god almighty with the anti tank kits, best sniper rifles in the game as far as I'm concerned and it's the most humiliating thing there is to get head shot by a rocket from across the map. |
I've only played the singleplayer game but I'm the same as you. The only time I get any decent kills when playing as a sniper is on the first map listed (vs ChiComs, nuke plant). Use claymores to cover my 6 & camp on the building with the AA missile & TOW. Swat down any choppers (usually good for 2 kills), usually as soon as they get airborne. Scope on the sniper rifle is good for seeing when a helo is taking off, rush over to AA mount & get'em as soon as they clear the building they're behind. Tanks & jeeps get some wire guided love. Good for ~3 kills each time I lay the smackdown on a jeep. I've even managed to shoot down low flying helos with the TOW, along with using it as a long range guided sniper rifle on individual ground troops. Nothing quite brings a grin to my face (except maybe sending a group of enemies into orbit using C4 when I play as the special ops guy). I'm not quite up to playing online against real people yet. Need more practice & time to learn the maps. |
Yeah, I can't play online because I'm stuck with dial up. You can really hone your skills on singleplayer so you are not totally murdered like you would be if you were brand new and starting out against real people. Whenever I do get a chance to play online I'm able to hold my own. You can learn to be a pretty good sniper against bots. You can also learn to drop 203 rounds at the feet of your enemy from extremely long ranges just by playing against bots as well. |
