ok an update on the server situation: i have a new server the ip is 69.93.163.152:27017, i think its located in texas, i usually average between 35 and 50 for a ping so lag isnt an issue. there is pretty much always an admin in there watching for cheats and taking map requests. public and open to all who wish to have a fair/fun time. mondays we have cal matches so i wouldnt recommend checking it out on monday.
i think its definently worth it, its in a complete different leage from CZ, plus it comes bundled with the best game ever made, and when ordered from steam the silver package which is $10 over the standard bronze package you get in the store you get the whole valve back catalog of games and day of defeat source when it is released (im more looking forward to that than i was of hl2). |

Oh yes, definitely check out CS:S. If memory serves me right, CZ is 1.6. It's not a big upgrade from 1.5 or anything. Think of CS:S as similar to CZ but without the stupid riot shield (or the terrorist weapon - I think it was a molotov or something?). Anyways, I have been playing since the days of 1.0 (I actually bought CS retail and I still have it), and I must say that Source is the best yet. Maybe I just love the family too much, but in my mind the best single player game ever is Half-Life 2 (can you say immersion?) and the best multiplayer game ever is Counter Strike: Source.
