I'm at work and I friend just brought in his new airsoft AR-15... Its even got a railed Handguard!!! Man I gotta have one... I'm thinking of getting the AR and a handgun. Its too bad, I can't find any battery powered handguns. Do they make them???? I could think of some cool scenarios to play with a few of those!!! Thanks for any input! |
| Yes, they make AEG (automatic electric gun) handguns, but don't waste your money on them. They're weaker than spring powered handguns. Save your money and buy a nice GBB (gas blow back) handgun from KSC/KWA, Tokyo Marui (one of the top AEG companies), KWC, or Western Arms. |

I have a Modified TM boys M4A1 (Its aboout 80% scale) with a mag I could be persuaded to sell. I chopped the barrel to look like a Colt Commando. Shoots well, Has the Trademarked Colt Markings ground off due to copy right law. But otherwise is fine. IM me if interested. +1 on the GBB pistols. they work so much better than the Electric ones. Especially the KSC MAC-10. |

Most high end automatic rifles go about 100 feet out of the box. That's in a straight level line. If you arch up.. Well i've seen people tagged at and past 100 yards will pistols, rifles, sniper rifle... Mostly depends on your skill level and situation. But if you're worried about hurting someone it's not going to happen. Worst you could do is put and eye out or break a tooth. But that's why they have masks. |
| I've seen upgraded AEG's (shooting around 400fps) shoot to around 200 feet (give or take a dozen or two). By that distance, they're just floating along (thanks to the Hop-Up), so you can dodge them if you see them coming. I made hits at 125' or so with my GBB when I had it. |
| If you guys really want a plinking gun. The tokyo marui vsr-10 series are some of the most accurate airsoft guns out of the box. Of course there are many upgrades to make them more accurate they already are but in their stock condition they are good guns for target shooting. Otherwise A gbb or aeg would be fun to plink with, even more fun than the 40 dollar lpaegs that are availible. |

For about $340-400 you could set yourself up with a nice tokyo marui AEG, a battery, charger, an extra high capacity magazine and a bag of ammo. Just need to shop around. A great online retailer overseas is http://www.gunsnguys.com/home_ie5_1024.htm Shipping is what you would expect, about $30 for a rifle, $15 for a heavy pistol... But thier starting prices are awesome. YES, the prices are in HK Dollars. just divide by 7.76 to get US Dollar amount.

Taxman- It all depends on how much hurt you want. If you want a nice sting for your dollar a spring pistol from Big5 would work. Preferably a cybergun or stealth ( UHC ) pistol. But if you want to break skin we are talking around $1000. 556cliff- It really depends with the cheap aegs or lpaegs. Quality control isn't really a facter with cheap airsoft guns so you get what you get. Somtimes you will get an okay rifle other times you will end up with a broken one in a couple of days or weeks. As for jaming I wouldn't worry about it if you do pick one up. |
Dont want to break skin but hurt alot and not have to cock the thing everyshot |
| Okay well then a gbb ( gas blow back ) or nbb ( non blow back ) is what you are looking for. The nbbs are cheaper to run because they are lacking the blowback of their slide so they use less gas. If you are interested in these the UHC USP nbb is what is most recomended, its about $40 online. Gbbs are more expensive to run, and cost more than an nbb. A quality one will run you about $100+, but here you start to see all metal guns. The most recomended gbbs are th KWA and KSC glock series. The difference between the two is that the KSC is the most accurate tradmark wise and has the trigger saftey, but lacks a metal slide. The KWA has the metal slide, but no trades and trigger safety. An okay place to purchase the UHC USP would be www.airsplat.com ( under gas guns ) and a good place for the KWA/KSC guns is www.airsoftgi.com/default.php?cPath=25_63 |

eh, im getting out of airsoft and into the good stuff. Ive got a Steyr AUG with all the fixins for sale. Its fully functional and has authentic takedown and such. Comes with 4 mags, custom battery, crossdraw vest, ess tac goggles, semi cheap aimpoint replica. It shoots alot higher than stock, and gets great range for a toy gun, lol. This was my airsoft match getup, lol. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/Samminess/Sam-Augcrouch.jpg |
Have you tried shooting your nut sack ? Thats gotta hurt a bunch and I bet you will not need to cock it for a 2nd shot. |
I shot my friend in the stomach with it, he went and layed down in his truck for about a minute holding where I shot him |

I have a New mod CA ar15 a2 (ARMA trade marks) upgraded with tight bore barrel, m120 spring 9v batt. new pistons shooting 430fps on crony. my MKII gas pistol non-blowback looks like Ruger MKII and it is shooting 400fps.. But my baby is my sniper all decked out shooting 626fps max that i have achived .. now that thing hurts.. let my pops shoot me in the back and i had a bloody hole.. haha.. shoulda ran further away.. I use my Airsoft to play woodsball with the paintballers they hate me cause i can shoot through leaves and crap.. its fun but living in the hills of WV paintball is all that is here.. Airsoft has more tac games that you can do... |
Does it jam up or feel like it would break easy? |
You might wanna get some posts and some feedback before you start selling stuff IMHO... |
...Not really sure how I'm gonna do that....I'm still looking into buying my first real gun...and I need money to do that, so I really dont have any gun stuff to sell here to GET feedback. Plus im still learning about guns, so I dont really have alot to add to discussions other than questions. Any Ideas? o.O |
Thats gotta hurt a bunch and I bet you will not need to cock it for a 2nd shot.
