Anybody play? How is it?

Search function, how does it work?
Just kidding man.  It's pretty decent, aside from normal Arma shenanigans. I know a few of the old tyme Arfcom crew played it, and I play it nightly either solo or with a small crew.
Classes are cool if you like progression.  It's not in depth, just a couple levels with extra gear and abilities for each class, or Independents if you don't want to worry about points.  Good selection of weaponry from loot drops, and super high level drops are very very rare (like only in one place on Esseker, and hard to come by).

The new Esseker map is just great for it, and the optimizations make it run very well.
Chernarus was just brought back to BP, and it seems all the cool kids are on that again, but it's just too spread out of a map.  All the action is along the coast at the usual cities, with too many stupid noob kids shooting fresh spawns for shits n giggles.
the smart move is to get the fuck off the coast and get to where the good gear is (Green Mountain, Stary, NEAF/NWAF).
BP devs added a smattering of A3 buildings to use as havens all over the map, as well as Ranger Barracks for good loot at Balota, NWAF, Stary, and NEAF.

I searched "breaking" for the past 30 days.

How does it compare with dayz? Gameplay wise.

Pretty much the same as DayZ.  Lots of spawn, find gun, shoot people in face.   But, you do have target discrimination, in that certain classes are allies (nominally, doesn't mean you can't shoot them) and certain are opposed.   You get points for helping allied classes usually, and lose points for killing allied classes or helping opposing classes.  You can go traitor if you go into negative points, have your appearance changed (traitor clothing) and reward big points if other players kill you before you can regain good standing (by getting above mentioned points back).

There is no base building yet, but you can have Safe Havens (take over an enterable house house and apply a locking mechanism) that allow you to build storage and haven items, like a stove that makes food provide more HP restoration.

There is also the Legion system, which is currently under improvement.  Joining a Legion allows you to have Clan markers (Squad XML like normal DayZ), but it also shows you a class marker -soon to be legion marker over your friends heads when you are within 2Km, and their names when within 1400 meters.
They have tamable dogs as companions (but are currently broken by a damn Arma AI patch) that will hopefully be fixed.

Zombies will fuck you up if you don't pay attention.  3-4 hit kills if you don't get a one hit to the face.

The UI is minimal.  Bleeding, damage, food and drink are all non UI items.  You start panting if you need drink, your stomach grumbles if you need food.  You get blood splatters in larger intensity for different levels of bleeding.  Your screen shakes if you get an infection or sick.  You can get varying levels of movement loss if you take leg damage.  If you take arm damage it will affect your shots after the first with crazy levels of dispersion.

I like it for my current DayZ type experience needs.
