anybody playing this? Pretty cool so far, especially for a free game. When they get outfits running soon I'll make an arfcom one.

ps4 players only unfortunately. mostly due to sony and the devs basically came out and said console players wouldn't compete with pc players anyways mouse vs controller and all that.
The devs are handling it well, opposite of destiny for instance. if there is a bug they say so and rush to squash it and communicate the issue. frame rate dips here and there and there is some warping, they're introducing patches and server side fixes pretty fast |
| worth a shot, it's free. there are micro transactions but it's definitely not pay to win, all of the paid stuff is mostly cosmetic/xp boosts. the guns you buy for real cash all fill a specific niche mostly as most of the default guns for each class tend to be the best all around in the first place. |

I've played it a couple of times. I'm level 8 or 9.
What happens when I reach level 15? Can I get out of that shitty area? The firefight is always at the center. Non stop. Kind of gets repetitive Plus, waiting 20 minutes just to get in to the game sucks. No way i'd pay $14.99 a month just to get xp boosts and join a game instantly. Hopefully the lobby wait has changed since Wednesday. |
| I downloaded this last night. Always wanted to play on PC but I can't run it on my old POS. I made a character this AM but when I tried to log on it told me the server was unavailable after waiting on the 5 min queue... Anyway, my PSN is pegwedge and I should have a headset up and running soon. Also play BF4, GTA V (although I haven't started online yet), and Far Cry 4. |

Hopefully the lobby wait has changed since Wednesday. go to the warp gate, you can leave that first area whenever you want. the description was vague, you're forced out once you hit lvl 15 (you can respect at 15), but you can actually warp out at any level. The other areas have your pick of huge firefights or smaller skirmishes. I paid out for a few months of membership. I figure most games have less content for more money. You obviously skip wait, you get 500 in game cash each month, xp boosts, and discounts on all microtransactions (which are not necessary to progress in any way). $15/per month seemed a little steep but $100 for the year is basically what a battlefield game with premium costs, plus it seems like the devs plan on rolling out all the pc content to the ps4 pretty quickly. |

What the fuck, I'm in right now but it won't let me do anything. I can't warp to a new island, I cant respawn, I can't use the instant action button.
I'm stuck at the fucking main base with nothing going on. edit: Also are the maps level specific? Right now my fiance is stuck on Koltyr and she's level 1. I'm stuck on Indar at level 8. So what you have to be the same level to play next to eachother? |

So what you have to be the same level to play next to eachother? not level specific. Koltyr is instanced out though, even if you're on the same server you can't play together on koltyr. To play together you have to be on the same server (ex. genudine, palos, etc). Each server is broken up into continents, like indar. If you're on the same server you can squad up, if you're on opposing factions and on the same continent you'll run into each other at some point if you're in the same area. There is no level match making of any sort, and like i said earlier she can warp out of koltyr and into your area whenever she wants. Koltyr is supposed to be like boot camp in CoD, it's supposed to be a tutorial kind of but the hints and stuff aren't koltyr specific, they pop up the first time you use something regardless of where you're at or how far along you are. What faction are you? |

Whoever the blue guys are is what we are playing. Idk what the issue was with it not letting me respawn. I restarted the game and it was good to go.
I'm loving it so far. PS2 plays surprisingly well with a gamepad(aside from sniping, much prefer a mouse there). I forgot about Kolt being the noob zone. Probably why I couldn't invite her to my squad either. We should get organized into the same server and faction. |

Blue guys are NC, I'm in genudine, where you at?
Anybody reading that hasn't played yet but will play NC (blue) is probably your best bet. Best all round guns IMHO. NC guns seem to have the best mix of ROF and damage, decent stability and accuracy. Vanu (purple) are second, pretty futuristic weapons, high ROF but low damage, decent stability though. TR (red) have bullet hoses that do decent damage but the accuracy and stability are HORRIBLE. If you don't mind spending a few bucks the NS bundle is $15 I think and gives you a few pretty decent guns that you can use across all factions on all your accounts (account max is 9 I think). the NS carbine and rifle are pretty good and the NS submachine gun is a beast. |
