So I'm relatively new to Arma and I'm trying to find some decent game modes to play online. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm pretty well useless in anything but a jet/helo, so I'd like to know of a few modes that have an air element.

You'd have to find servers running specific missions with Air combat/units enabled. Lots of open, public servers out there to investigate and see what missions are up.
You can also run missions your self and invite other players in to play them. Get on the ARFCOM Teamspeak, and I bet some of the guys can direct you to game missions you'd like. ts.tagaming.net You'll be stuck in the lobby, poke someone in a room and have them bring you down to an ARMA channel. |

It is way more realistic. Just google Milgo and thats a good start. For something with no mods, try playing wasteland to get used to the game. You can always jump on the TS wasteland section and group up with some to get in the right direction

You can always jump on the TS wasteland section and group up with some to get in the right direction I've been playing the domination servers and I played on an ACE server once, it was fun, but there are never any ACE domination servers with more than 2-3 people.
