Starting Saturday at midnight PST we begin the pre-purchase head start.
Currently I have roughly 15 players, maybe more maybe less, coming into Guild Wars 2. Friends and family alike. We're going to be on the Ehmry Bay world. Once you select a world, you're stuck to that world with your characters. You cannot make any characters on any other world. So choose wisely. Later they plan to add a "guest" feature that allows you to "join" your friends on other worlds to party and play with each other, but that will not be in at launch. So, if you're wanting friends to play with, post what world you're going to be in here. Hoping we can get a good force on one world so we can do some awesome stuff :). |

Has there been much feedback from beta testers and what not for how good the game is and if it's worth paying for? I'm considering getting it, but was looking for a little more feedback on it before I plunk down $60 or even $120 (for two copies). Considering it's free to play, yes it's worth it. Got to play some last night for a stress test for 3 hours, worked awesome. I enjoyed it, and everyone I've heard who's played it has loved it. |

Thought this was a nice little read.

Well damn, I should have checked here before picking a world. I've got stuck with a bunch of tards that spent 50 minutes arguing about which MMO has the best boob jiggle physics. These are not the kind of people I want to party up with. ![]() Free server transfers right now :). Take advantage of it! Click on world selection at your character select screen, choose the server you want, and click transfer. |
| Sounds like there is the ability to transfer between worlds if necessary for a cost in gems and it is limited to once a week. Probably will take some weeks or months for the server populations to settle and find out if certain worlds end up focusing on certain gameplay aspects or if any gain certain reputations. |

The transfers are free of charge for the time being. They have not said when it will be pay to transfer. But you are indeed limited to 1 transfer a week. Ehmry Bay is a medium population server. I have not had any overflow instances since launch. That night there was some, but I think maybe some transferred off to "high" populated servers for WvWvW. |

You guys that are on Ehmry Bay, some of you I've been trying to contact, you won't reply to messages.
I'm attempting to invite you to the guild per your request. If you asked for an invite and provided your name in game, please check your guild screen. I sent the invites! |

On my way back home from vacation. Hoping to pick it up Sunday!! How does getting the benefits of the HoM work out. Did character names get reserved like they said they were going to? I slaved away at GW1 over the past couple years to get 30points lol. No way I was going for max. I do have some what of a life.
What kind of races/prof combos is everyone using? Been looking at them on the GW2 Wiki site trying to decide on what I want. Anyone wanna give some reviews on professions and usefulness? |

Main weapons are pistols, shotguns, and bullet/flame turrets. I really liked the Asura starting zone and the Story(a set of quests/instances that you perform on your own as you level up) |

Going to be picking this game up in a few hours and will be giving it a test run tonight. What world should I fo to?
Also, I've never played GW1 and don't have a clue what I'm getting into with 2. Closest thing I've come to playing an MMORPG would be Diablo 2 and 3. |

Have roughly 7 to 10 arfcommers on Ehmry Bay, but there are others elsewhere. Just read the thread :D. |

Eveyln Rains Add me please! Tried, no character/account by that name. May need to give me your account name, like mine is jatobi.somenumbers, some people are having problems with character names for some reason. Or, make a new one and see if I can invite that one. |

PVP is just as sequestered as in GW1. You cannot use anything gained from the PVP in the PVE rest of the game. No thanks. It's basically a PVE cooperative. It's made that way for a reason. There are 2 separate components of the game, PvE and PvP. PvP WvWvW = your PvE gear, or the PvP gear you buy with WvWvW currency. Also, that currency is used for Legendary weapons. sPvP = you get put into gear for PvP. Nothing you get is better or worse than anyone else. The only thing you can change is the appearance and runes or sigils on the equipment/weapons. Reason behind it: Everyone is equal, what sets you apart is your skill and class. Granted, some of that needs balancing but still. If you were to put 2 teams against each other with the same class, each team is absolutely equal, skill is what sets you apart. Within sPvP there are also tournaments, which work exactly like sPvP but are more structured than regular sPvP. |

Posted this in the other thread, in case you guys don't go there, I'll post it here so you can see.
Magic find! I went and made a full set of magic find equipment, including a sigil for my weapon, got up to 146% magic find when I eat omnom berry food. 116 without food buff. My equipment alone (not including runes) gives me: 18% Runes: 53% Sigil: 15% Accessories: 30% If I buy a guild backpack and put a Emblemished or w/e the highest level 400 gem cut, forget, Opal jewel into it that gives me an additional 4%. That opal also can make the max level Ori items that give an additional 1% on each accessory, for a total of 7% on each accessory, up from 6. Trade a major rune of the traveler for a superior and get an additional 7%, have not bought one yet, it's like 50s lol. So from what I can tell, the max you can get is 132 plus 40 from omnom cream if you're under a boon, 30% if you use the other omnom food. For a total of 172% magic find with Omnom Cream while under the effect of a boon, or 162% constantly with food. Took this out to Cursed Shore and did a test running the event gauntlet, 3 events that chain into each other, massive killing loads of loot. I walked away with 40s (not that much really) and 3 yellows, several greens and blues. Went to do Jarmong Claw or w/e his name is and finally got a yellow from the chest. Out of the all that, I ended up with 5 Ectos, about 14 Ori ore, some ancient wood and random mithil and elder wood. That came from mining and salvaging combined. Grand total of over 1.5g if I sold everything, all within roughly 30 minutes. It's well worth it to make a set. I have Tailor, Artificer, Jeweler at 400, Leatherworking at 377. I am almost done with Leather so I can start making medium armor for people. So for now, if you're on Ehmry (or any server I guess), send me materials and I'll send you gear. I can make any level of the Explorer items, I made myself level 80 greens as they were cheap and not hard to make. The yellows and Exotics are rather expensive. Also, in guild we have multiple Chef's at 400, several Jewelers, a Huntsman and Weaponsmith, Artifice currently at 400. Soon to be Leather and I'm not sure what else. If you need stuff made, get with us in game so we can send you a recipe for materials. |

I like reading about this game, wish I had more time to play it. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1309681_Guild_Wars_2_goes_on_sale_tomorrow__.html&page=5 I also finished leatherworking today, so ready to make leather :D. |

Quoted: Thinking about picking this up this weekend. Worth buying? I played Guild Wars when it first came out and through the first expansion and it was enjoyable. Its very much worth buying. Its great fun, and there are hundreds of hours worth of things you can do. And its more social than most MMO's - people work together to kill monsters rather than just running by you as you die. |
