Great, every time I buy a fucking game something screws up. I bought last years Madden, and not long after the season started the PS3 went out. The game had an issue the first day, and I had to get EB to exchange it. Then the system went out, it wouldn't read the disc for a while, so I sold the game. The system started working on it's on again after about a week, somehow, so I bought GT 5 and played it online with a few guys here. The system went out after about a month. Same problem, the disc reader stopped working. We traded it as broken, and then got another preowned system.

That brings me to today. I don't buy a lot of games, maybe two per year, because I just don't have the cash to do it. so when I buy, it has to be something I really, really want. I got the new Ace Combat today. I put it in to play the tutorial before I went online. I got through the tutorial, and then it was stuck on the loading screen. I had to cut the system off. Now it won't read the disc, or any other disc for that matter. I am pissed, and officially done with the PS3. We went through 6 Xbox 360s. I shot the last one I had with 5 rounds of 00 buck, and made a cardboard coffin to put it in, and put it in another box with a note for Microsoft to fuck off. The ex convinced me not to do it. I would do it here but I can't afford not to get something out of it. I can't explain it, the ex wife was the manager at a Gamestop before she deployed, so we know how to take care of them. This is just ridiculous, I'm done with it. No more. If you spend hundreds of dollars on something it should work.

Posted this in the Ace Combat thread, just wanted to vent, maybe help with a solution.

Thanks.

Repair service.

Or, new system, three month manufacturer warranty, covers all replacement units as well.  Most store warranties only cover the first replacement.

Stupid question. But have you run system updates?

Send it to sony and let them deal with their broken system.

Edit: I've owned 2 PS3's in the past 2 years, and for the most part, Sony has been very helpful when it comes to fixing the damn things

I'm going to call Sony and see what they say. I have considered another 360 as well. I just don't want to have to spend a bunch of money. Now I have to figure whether to keep the New Ace Combat I bought or if I should sell it. I was really looking forward to playing it and especially the online thing, knowing that other Arfcommers would be on as well.
