Who's getting it? I preordered two copies of it yesterday and I'm pretty psyched about this game.
Gamer Tag is MCLOAD77. |

Quoted: I watched a few videos of Homefront from EA and similar. The AI is atrocious. I mean absolutely epically horrible. Stand right next to them and kill their buddy without them reacting horrible. I won't be buying this one. same i so wanted this game to be good. |

Been waiting for this game for over 3 yrs... Im a little disappointed in the direction they went.. seems like they changed the game play a bit.. a cross between battlefield/MOH/COD Our clan ordered a server and most of us are going to get it.. im not sure yet if i will... Im tired of black ops but we just got 2 new servers and started to play world at War custom maps and the vietnam mod.. so that is a nice break... anyone on a pc can join us for some fun.. www.clandhd.net |

Quick question, you ordered it for 2 different systems I hope? Graphics don't look impressive, but if the gameplay and story are awesome it will be worth it (much like Freedom Fighters). I have two XBox's 360 Elites. We have two copies of a bunch of games (Halo Reach, L4D2, Red Dead Redemption and Battlefield BC2). My Halo Reach Elite is hooked up to a 60" Sharp Aquos LCD and her MW2 Elite is hooked up to a 42" Sharp Aquos LCD. If my Wife and/or I don't like it, I'll return the unopened copy. |

I played a little bit of the campaign this morning on PS3. Graphics suck. Story is pretty interesting. Gameplay is ok, nothing special. Controls and hit detection could be better. I was pretty disappointed with it overall. While I am a graphics whore, the single most important part of any game is the story. If the story is good, I'll love it. |

I love a great single player story, and it will keep me coming back. |

| Not really concerned about single player or the graphics. Half-Life is still an awesome and fun game to play through and it is beyond outdated. The MP portion looks to be pretty fun, and that's what I will be getting it for. Black Ops got boring real quick, MOH was a joke from day 1, and BC2's clunky ass controls and 100 hits to kill someone isn't my thing. |

Wow, after watching the gameplay video, I'm sold.... Looks like I'll be saving $60. Repeated NPC dialog, "Pick up those grenades" Sound effects that sound flat and not very compelling... Running behind a patrol with a tank, less than 20 feet behind them and no one notices... Too much WTF for me. |

I have a friend who lives in England and he went to a Homefront event last week and got a copy, he's here in the US right now and brought it and his 360 and I got to play it a few hours ago. It's pretty damn fun. The large maps and lots of vehicles give it a good BF feel, and up close the combat is kinda like COD, but not exactly.
I'm a huge BF fan, and I want BF more, but that's gonna be like 7 months so theres no reason to not get this just because BF is coming out later this year. |

Originality: -1 I'll give it a rent just to enjoy the single player story, but unless the multiplayer is phenomenal (and enough Arfcommers start playing it regularly over BC2) I'm not going to put $60 on it. ETA: Watched the rest of the video (i.e. the actual game play). I went from moderately interested to not at all. The gameplay reminded me of that Duty Calls spoof that the Bulletstorm guys put out. ![]() |

I played a little bit more this morning and I had some good fun.
I pretty much singlehandedly won an entire match. My team wasn't very good, but I was on a roll and I acquired enough credits to buy an Apache in game and then I just proceeded to dominate. Battle Commander is a really fun game mode. I was sniping for a while and found a cool spot on the map 'Green Zone' and got like 20 consecutive kills, but then some guy found my spot and ended me. It's a pretty intense game, lots of combat and different styles to play. I gotta wait until Tuesday to play it again though now that my friend went back to the UK. :( |
|
I'll be picking my copy up at 10:00 EST. I was pretty excited about this game for a while, but I'm finally coming to grips with the fact that these gameplay videos simply look fucking awful, in so many ways. I'm just holding out hope for some good responsive controls, and an interesting multiplayer experience.
There's really no way for me to be disappointed now, as I'm fully expecting it to suck, and deliver a 'Killzone 3' level of disappointment.

well, Was on my to buy list, most likely for PS3, but everyone has said the campaign is around 3.5 hours. I was planning on getting this mainly for a lengthy, involved story, much like Freedom Fighters, not at all interested in the MP. Looks like they are betting on the MP selling it with a single-player campaign that can be completed in one sitting.

Quoted: Quoted: The story line seems interesting, so I will be picking it up today. Is it out now? I thought 3-15..? Sorry about that I thought it came out last Friday, tried to pick it up at a local best buy and they said the 15th. But I did get it last night at midnight after work. Played it for about an hour or so I am really liking it. Pretty graphic at times but I like it. |
