I finally got a HDTV and went out and bought a Sony component video AV cable for my PS2. When I hook up the cables (Red, Green, Blue and Red & White Audio) I get picture but no sound. Here are the things I know:
If I use my Moster S-video cable with the L&R audio (white & red connectors) I get picture and sound. If I use the component video with the PS2 set on RGB mode I get not picture but I do get sound. If I use the component video with the PS2 set on YPbPr mode I get picture but no sound. TV is a Sony 46" LCD Bravia with 2 sets of component video inputs. So far I have only tried one set of these inputs. Any suggestions?? |
