I just got done with basic training, lost about 15 lbs there. I've lost 50 total lbs since december. I'm 5'8 and weigh 155. I'd like to stay around this weight but get stronger. Is it possible? If so, what kind of routine and how much should I be eating?

Oh and I run 3 times a week because I'm still in tech school. I can run more if need be.

crossfit, and at 155 eat your ass off (staying healthy with it) at 5'8" I would be looking more towards 165-170

But for stayin around 155, eat moderate sized meals three times a day with small snacks like powerbars in between. If you have to cheat on your healthy diet do it with something that still has all the basics to it with minimal grease

DO NOT rely on PT to keep in shape...PT is shit compared to what you should be doing

Congrats on graduating basic. How was it?

That being said, I would crossfit. You are in good shape now. Time to keep going.

It can be tough to eat right at the chow halls on base especially if you work an off shift.  I would see if you could get with someone who lifts weights and work out with them.  I saw more strength gains when I had a lifting partner to keep me motivated, spot, and help with form.  PT is fine if you push yourself running but the pushups and situps won't cut it.

As much as I'd like to agree, CF fits the bill because he still has to PT.

SS is a pretty specialized program IMO and requires a more full-time commitment.
