The statement that because a person is taller, that muscles have more area to "spread across", making them appear to be less "muscular". Where as shorter people look like they have bigger muscles/muscle curves because they have less of an area to cover. Just trying to settle a disagreement between someone I know.

I don't know if it's true, but I believe it. I'm 6'1", and since I got into weight lifting I see a lot of it. It's kinda like when I do bench I usually can't do as many reps as my friends, but lift the same weight I think it's got something to do with length of travel. Dunno though maybe all us tall people are making excuses.

I believe it. Doing pushups is a bitch because you have further to go.

I think it has to do with the muscle's insertion point on the bone, whether you look more muscular or not. A lot of taller people have a different body compositon, and carry less fat under the skin, and look thinner than people who are shorter and carry more fat under the skin. |
