I admit it -- I'm out of shape, there is no way to say it otherwise. I'm 6'2 - 230 pounds... had a job as a professional computer nerd for quite a while. I applied for the local police department after loosing my job recently due to the job moving to India ::sigh:: Part of their tests are: -1.5 mile run (which I have started an exercise rutine for, every other day -- got help from a friend who's a runner) -Sit-Ups (1 min) -Push-Ups (1 min) -300 meter run (which should go along fine with the 1.5 mile run training) These items don't have a requirement listed, so I don't beleive they'd expect 60 pushups in 60 seconds or anything like that....... however I don't want to be the pansy that scores last. Testing is Jan 27th. I'm willing to do what it takes to get this where I need to be by the test date. Suggestions? |
