I like Henry Rollins and System of a down, for dayw when I'm really trying to go heavy
I love Electronic music so my running MP3 is always loaded with such music. Mostly Benny Benassi and some other random good songs.
I realized running without music for more than 30 mins is torture, and that running with slow songs is boring too.
I only use the MP3 to run, not to lift weights...
PS: If you don't know who Benny Benassi is check this out, If you sort of like electronic you will love it now: Link
I have run to some movie soundtracks (the classical kind) The rock, broken arrow, king arthur, action type movies; Also disturbed, metallica, and lots of others. I have 440 gigs of music back home but at my deployed local its only 19 gigs how said .

I like working out and running with these tunes on my Ipod Shuffle 1G
Sisters of Mercy
Red Hot Chili peppers
Sick of it all
Rage Against the Machine
I'm too cheap to buy one of those things, besides I would just break it.
When I run, I like to hear the sound of the magazine moving around in the mag well, when my left foot hits the ground.
When I lift, I like to hear my own breathing, and the little voices in my head telling me that I can do it just push harder. Other than that, I don't care what they play in the gym.
only metal for me. nothing else does it for me when working out.
i've been playing a lot of dying fetus and atreyu lately. chimaira, soulfly, killswitch engage, slipknot(only the older stuff), and spineshank are among many other favorites.
Must be hard to balance the lampshade while your doing all that.
When lifting heavy I prefer
System of a Down
Rage Against the Machine
I agree there is just some rap that gets me pumped... but alot of people on here havent tried it cuz they hate hearing that "Punk" kids base in the honda next to them
Lately, I've been listening to softer music while working out. Don't know why.
