Anyone here take it? What did you like/loathe about it?

I'm looking for a supplement to boost my energy while working out/dieting.

Hi Bellona

Look here.
NO-Explode

It works as they claim, but be warned, you WILL have
a very bad case of gas 6 hours later.  Very bad.
Ick.

I took it for a while. Almost 2 years off and on.  It works pretty well, lots of energy. The new formula didn't make my hair tingle.

The down side is I took it when they still used ephedrine. It may be a contributor to my high blood psi, or so my doc. says.

One of my guys took it before our most recent PRT.  He hadn't taken it before (at least he said) and he got some pretty bad back spasms and cramping during the 1.5 mile run.  I don't think that he had been training a lot, but the stuff didn't do anything to help him out.  I would just go with strong coffee and an energy drink to liven things up.

I am often concerned about possible cardiac side effects when taking any of those supplements (fen frn or what ever that stuff was). I stick to a couple cups of coffee a day.

Thanks all,

The stuff is no longer loaded with ephedrine, but it's got a ton of other things I can't pronounce. Chromium picolinate is supposed to rev up the metabolism, and that's one of the ingredients listed.

I've taken a few and so far, I enjoy the energy. It seems to last much longer than a cup of coffee (which I forego now). I will not be drinking caffeinated coffee should I continue taking these.

Cardiac fallout is what worries me about these pills. I'm a small person already, so I never take the full recommended dosage of these pills, otherwise I can't sit still all day.

Well since it was proven that ephedrine does not cause long term problems it was not a contributor to anyones problems.  The ban on herbal ephedrine is now lifted and you could always get ephedrine HCl (I always used it and still do) which is more stable and does not rot like an herbal pill.  The key to Hydroxycut is the hydroxycitric acid.  I think the caffeine and epehdrine did most of the good in that product and have no real use for it as its herbal based and too expensive.  Phen Fen is a prescription combination of Phentermine and Fenflurmine and both are derivatives of amphetamine.  It was the Fen that causes the heart valve problems.  Ephedrine cant cause this.  I reccomend anhydrour caffeiene and synthetic ephedrine HCl.  You can get Ephedrine in gas stations and caffeiene from NoDoz or Vivarin.  Chromium does not ramp up your metabloic rate.  Deficiency results in type 2 diabetes and insulin reistance.  If you dont have a deficiency it will not increase metabolism.

Basically, you're spending $50 on green tea extract, which you can get for much, much cheaper.
Since they stopped using ephedra, not ephedrine which is synthetic(but I like both!), the product sucks, you can get the same from GTE or caffeine.  Save your cash, but if you really like it, more power to you I guess.

I used both versions of hydroxycut and did not like them, they did nothing for me.  I've also used the eph. version of xynedrine which i liked but is now off the market.

Recently i used thermogain which works as good as Xdrine.  It helps keep away food cravings and keeps sluggishness out of workouts. Also since i work 3rd shift it keeps me awake, and I got it for $25. I forget which site it was but if you look around you'll find it.

I've used ThermaLean and Hydroxycut and found that Hydo did nothing for me in any way. No change in energy or cravings. But the Thermalean was a different story all together. ^ hours after takeing the two pills as recogmended and I was still bouncing off the walls and trying to chew through my face. Over the counter meth anyone?

I never liked hydroxycut even when it had ephedra.....Ive tried alot of the newer thermogenics w/o ephedra and I cant feel anything on them. They are mainly green tea and caffene......both of which help the body to realease ephenipherine.........
the only thing that Ive found that works anywhere near what ephedra did was Redline by VPX...30 mins before a workout and its like you are going 100mph.....
