Not sure if anyone will see this, but I just started developing heel pain in my right heel. It's more annoying and slightly painful than anything else. It doesn't seem to get better or worse with activity.
I suppose the answer is "go see a doctor" |

It also stemmed from Plantar Fasciitis. The solution ended up being a 5 times a day stretching regiment to loosen up tight hamstrings and calves. I was so tight that my achilles was in a bind, causing it to contact an existing heel spur. It was also causing my Plantar Fascia to contact another heel spur on the front of my heel. I didn't have to get either spur removed. I do have to keep it in mind to stretch before and after activity to keep it from coming back. |

About 10 degrees with a 14mph N wind. Testing out some clothes for my long run tomorrow to make sure I don't freeze. |

I run the space heater while I'm on the treadmill which blows on me, but I can still see my breath the whole time. There's still ice on the ground; I'm staying off that. |

56F /w 41% humidity. Mostly sunny skies and a light breeze. Nice and cool for an outside run in shorts and short-sleeve shirt. |

I saw this video last night. The exercise looks insane at first, unlike anything I've ever seen. I tried it using the living room sofa as the back and a chair to the side for support and it actually feels good.

I just signed up for the Bear Bait Ultra for next January. I have done the 50k and 50 miler there. This may be the year to jump to the 100k, not 100% certain. I signed up for the 25k to guarantee a spot. It's capped at 200 total entries and I can change distances up to the week of the race.

View Quote If it's anything like this year, I'll roll into October with a solid training schedule, flake out on it in November and December due to deer season, and wing it for the 50k I'll either do the 25k with my son (who will be 12 at the time) and call it good, or do the 100k, while pacing him on the 25k and setting the tempo for the rest of the day. |

Last weekend my oldest daughter went to s small birthday party for a soccer teammate and picked up a bug. I've been fighting it since midweek but it hit full on yesterday. I figure I'll limp along with short easy runs to keep my streak alive until I get over this. |
