Insomnia sucks - quick 5k at 8:30/mile pace to help getting to sleep later tonight.

Hopefully be back at my normal routine tomorrow.

Second to last run before 3M. 2 mile warmup, 2 mile at hm race pace, and 2 mile cool down. I'm hoping to have a pretty good PR. Hoping. I'm set for it.

Saturday I ran almost 7 miles. 1.5 warmup and 5.3 hard. I set a 10k pr even with the warm up mile, and had I pushed for one more mile I could have been right at 50:00. I'm getting faster and faster. Feels good.

Good luck at 3M, it's going to be a cold one out there! That looks like a fun race, holy down hill!

I'm trying to do a "run streak" to where I run at least 1 mile every day of the year, so far so good!

Thanks! I’ve been trying to run in light clothes to get used to the cold. I hate cold so much.

During the summer I couldn't wait for cooler weather, now I just want it to warm up to the 60's. Texans runners are hard to please it seems.

I'm taking a bit more time off to recover - I've got to kick this infection and get the antibiotics out of my system as well before running will be enjoyable again.

Going to put a goal of 3,120 miles for the year out there. I really think it will be doable, but starting off the year like this will certainly result in a hole to dig out of.

When I first started it took a couple weeks for that to set in, but I've been hooked ever since.

Thanks. 8-8:30 is real comfortable, seems like I could cruise there all day, but my HR is to high right now so its not going to help me get faster. If I can keep that pace with 10-15 less beats per minute then my race pace/hr will be back on track.

Had to stop after getting started for a bit, so I guess it's a 2 a day.

I'm still not trusting the watch completely on the treadmill, I thought I worked with it some but it's still not right, I don't think.

We were supposed to do a 5k today, half tomorrow here in Baton Rouge.  The 5k was cancelled due to weather so we grabbed a mile on the way back to the car. It's raining and mid 60s now. The half tomorrow should kick off with clear skies and temps in the high 20s.

lol That was a HR @ <= 70% run.  I'm training my body to think that 10 miles runs are normal everyday runs, so when I start my marathon training on the 27th, the weekend long runs won't be so bad.

Feeling some soreness. My left hip is bothering me today, but I did light back and front squats today before the runs, so that is probably a contributor there.

Hoping it warms up some, I want to get outside and run.

When my hip was bothering me I youtubed runners yoga with Adriene and that helped stretch it out good.

How cold is it where you're at?

I'm taking it easy today and tomorrow, and eating big tonight for recovery. It's almost like my hip needs to be popped, but I put a lot of miles (considering) so I am hoping just some recovery time will help.

It was cold this morning, but has warmed up this afternoon. It's 55 out now, but this morning it was 30.

I've had something like that and did a groin stretch and it popped. IT Was terrifying at first until I realized I wasn't injured for life, then immediate relief.
