I am currently taking an off-the shelft multi-vitamin from Costo, their "Premium Performance Multi".

These are cheap and affordable, I just wonder if I can find/take something better

What are you guys taking for a daily multi?

What are some really good higher end multi vitamin options?

I use cheap multi vitamins from walmart. I eat enough veggies that a vitamin is just extra insurance that I got all the bases covered.

I have actually been out of vitamins for the last 4-5 days and I can't tell the difference. I take extra D vitamins and thats the only one I can "feel" working.

YMMV. I know folks that swear by juice plus, mega man and other high dollar supps.

I've read a lot of things that say all the gimmicky expensive multis are not really any better than most cheap ones.

I acquired a bunch of free Animal Pak, so that's what I'm taking now.  I normally just use the generic GNC men's multi-vitamin.

A proper diet should get you what you need.  Whatever you're taking now should just ensure that.

On the Animal Pak, it says serving size 2 paks, but in the further description it says take 2 if training for a competition.

I've noticed it seems to contain BCA's, which I get with Xtend or Purple Wraath.

Are these really worth it?

They are pretty much very expensive multi's. You can get all the same stuff in the Orange Triad listed above, except the BCAA's.

I figured.

I have been taking the ON Opti-Men, fish oil, & glucosamine.

BCAA's are about the only "workout" supplement I take anymore.

I love me some Orange Triad.  It comes with all those joint supplements rolled into a single pill (that you take 6 of per day )

Super Nutrition Opti-pack are pretty hard core.  'course you need to somehow take a bunch of pills 3 times a day.  I've been taking them for years, they're great and every 5 times or so I take them (more often on empty stomach) I get a sweet niacin rash and itchy skin, that's how you know it's working ;)

I like Orange Triad as well, but I break the serving up from 3 twice a day to 2 three times a day.  They could stand to round the edges of the pills down though.

I stopped taking multivits last year some time and I can tell no difference what so ever. Some call it a cheap insurance policy but some studies that I've read have linked high dose Vit C (among a few others) to be linked to a high likely hood of cancer...

Take what you will from a study, I take them all with a grain of salt.
