I’m a huge fan of working accommodating resistance into my programming.

I had previously had a 1RM of 135lbs for my OHP. Largely due to a previous injury which led to neglecting overhead stuff.

I’ve been doing a lot of banded OHP at lower weights, and just knocked out 3x 135lbs like it was nothing.

My other lifts are benefitting as well, but OHP was the one that surprised me.

Nice! My oldest is finally starting to see the light. I think football is showing him the value in squats and deads. Left to his own he'd probably accomplish nothing more than 1000's of reps of weak arm curls though

My son and I finished up 3 months of Strong lifts last week, we did a max lift day and have now moved onto 531. We both could have ran it a bit further but it's time to move on.

I'm really looking forward to not squatting 3x a week.

Here's what our maxes are.

Son: squat 165, dead 215, bench 105. 16YO 125#

Me: squat 315, dead 385, bench 215. 39YO 210#

I'm very happy with the progress, in November I was 232#s and hadn't lifted in almost 2 years. My lifting belt wouldn't come close to going around me, now I'm on the 3rd hole. Feels good man

I found a picture of myself from 2 years ago....I looked a lot better than I do right now so I dug into it.

I was running boring but big that year, and I was stronger.

I save most of my spreadsheets from all the program hopping I do, got that one out and refreshed it. I'm gonna give it another go and see what happens.

I was doing the less boring version where you switch the BBB lifts to the opposite day, but I switched it around to the normal way this time to save time.

I eventually stalled on it, my AMRAPs were showing me slide downhill each time. I might run it a few cycles then switch to 5's Pro if it happens again.

I’m not sure exactly what he said. He said lots of words that basically meant “I’m going to fucking kill you if you don’t get it.” I believed him. So I got it.

We've been doing a sort of BBB, 3x10 @60% of true max. It's a lot easier for me to mentally prepare for 3 sets than it is 5. We're only a couple weeks in so we'll see how it goes.

I didn't mind the 5x10 work, I was running it 50% the first week, 55, then 60 week three, so it was like escalating effort that went in waves each cycle. Apparently it was working aesthetically.

I hit a pretty good wall with the main work though, I think volume in those rep ranges was just too low, and had I actually followed the programming it would have been a good time to do the 5 forward 3 back reset and switch templates, but I'm stupid, and impatient.

I'm going to try BBB @ FSL weights, with no extra stuff except conditioning on 2 random days (whichever days I feel best for it) for at least 2 cycles, then switch a different template or attempt one of the challenges.

My OHP isn't bad compared to then, but my deadlift is horrible. My TM is set 100 lbs lower than it was at the time.....I have been neglecting it though.

My work gym is finally open. Opened 2 weeks ago after 4 months closed. I had just gotten my deadlift back up to 455x5 in dec after almost a year off.

I got 405 2 nights ago in my second workout. I was squatting 275 last night for sets of three which was depressing.

I told my wife im giving myself untill the end of may to get back to normal.

Brutal 45 minute leg day today

Warmed up with 5 sets leg extensions. Then worked the leg press from 4 plates per side to 11 PPS for 15 reps per set. Then worked up to squats with the top working set @ 405x12. Finished off with doubles at 435 for five sets. Rest period being however long it took your partner to do his set. As soon as he was off the bar you get under it an go. Then 4 supersets of roman deads and lying leg curls.

Today is the start of week 6 of RP's MPT, basically the last week of accumulation for this meso cycle before a deload week.

Program started out pretty easy, but is definitely kicking my ass, especially the last 3 days of the week.

Week 1 was 69 sets total, this week is programmed for 120+ sets.

To make things even more fun, just realized last night that the only organized 5k I can run this summer is this Thursday. And I've dropped to only running 1-2x/week, and only a bit over 2 miles each run.

Going to be a rough week.

The running wasn't terrible, did a 2nd consecutive run day yesterday to get a bit more ready for the 5k. But leg day today has ruined me after the 2 run days.

I feel like such a sloth. I did a squat and overhead press workout last weekend, but we've been going 100 mph at work, and I had a mole removed off my back that they stuck 5 stitches in this week, I stretched it pretty good at work yesterday and it started to bleed, not even sure if I can get much of workout in until it heals up a bit.

Very nice! Love me some Pioneer belts. They're pretty much making the best belts out there right now. The new lever system they have is pretty awesome too in that it allows for micro adjustments like the pioneer model prong belts.

I actually didn't even look at their lever belts. I used one years ago and it was such a PITA to adjust. Have they made that easier?
