Also, I got some bad tendonitis in my right elbow now.  I skipped my shoulder workout this weekend as a result.  I think I will invest in some elbow sleeves soon.

My right tricep/shoulder is hurting like hell for some unknown reason so no pressing for me for a couple weeks. I am going to focus more on rows and pullups since they don't cause any pain.

Hit 270x9 (3 reps req) for squats on Saturday. I think the magic potion is working, I'm hardly sore at all! Thanks for the tip!

Holy shit I'd never of thought there'd be a 5/3/1 thread here.  Badass.  I ran 5/3/1 about 2 years back and made some good gains on it, then switched to a custom 5x5 routine.  Any powerlifters that compete here?

I did one USAPL meet this past summer.  I'll probably do another one after ski season.  Actually have a video of my deadlift from that meet on my youtube channel.  There is a couple of other really strong dudes that post in this forum on occasion too (strong as in 500+ bench and 800+ dead)

They use well over half the gym space for a Zumba  room and a women's only work out room That gym really does suck but being in a small town I don't have any other options.

Thanks for the tip on the double overhand, I hadn't thought of that.

Thanks.  1 rep short of a PR but, my elbows felt pretty good yesterday so that's good.  I did a buttload of light CGBP, rope extension and some hammmer strength high rows to get the blood going in the whole elbow/bi region without stressing it too much.  I think it helped a lot as I wasn't in much pain at all after I got home.

Being hurt blows, so doing that with a hurting elbow is quite good.  I am hoping to bench again soon, last week my arm was hurting like hell at 190. Its been feeling good since then but I'm not going to push it.

I'm going to restart my "5" week.  I had rough time trying to get in workouts due to some ecoli poisoning I got.  There's been too much time between my workouts so I'm going to restart the whole cycle.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Gun, your beard is like tickling the iron.  To be fair since I have lost weight I shave mine with no guard into a fashionable douchie mcdoucherson roughness.  Basically, I want to look like I just got off a grueling motorcycle ride but it still holds my wife's smell if you catch what I'm putting down...save it for later.

Mostly, that was just some rambling to say I don't trust a man that doesn't have facial hair.  He's probably trying too hard not to hide something.

ANYWAY, de-load week this week.  Quite the welcome break, especially since my elbow has been giving me shit for the past 3 weeks.  It is feeling better though.  I think a lot of high rep tri and bi movements have helped.

Also, my beard is coming back.  Don't think I'll be using it to tickle any iron though.

Rough Day, hit 265 for a hard 8 on the bench during my x5 week.  Per my previous reset of this whole cycle, I got 10 of those easy last time.  It feels like I"m going backwards.

I'm examining my last week or so.  Checking my diet, sleep, etc.  I'll see if I can isolate any variables.

Speaking of bad days, Monday was a terrible squat day for me.  I nearly failed getting 450x4 when I did 470x5 two weeks ago.  Shit happens.  Doesn't help that I was lazy with my diet over the de-load period too.

Anyway, 315x6 for bench today.  I think the 6th rep was the biggest grind I have ever had on bench too.  1 rep short of a PR though.  Still happy since it appears bench didn't suffer like my squat did.

Squat night tonight. I finished off the BBB with 185x15. I couldn't resist going all out but the leg curl suffered. Oh well squats are more important.

Hey, I don't think the right term is weirdos either.

I think we should all call ourselves "mons" since we're just NOV.  Also, Bearded Warriors would work but that means a couple of you need to grow beards.  I could do Disciples of Wendler with like a celtic cross motif.

Still no benching or OHP for me:(. My right tri/delt has been a pita for the last few months. On and off pain, comes and goes as it pleases with no rhyme or reason, hell I don't even know what I did to hurt it.  I'm going to rest it till the first of the year, get a solid month off.

I replaced OHP with upright rows, bench with traditional BB rows and I'm going pendlay style on warm up and BBB. Also still doing pullups/chins.

I was kinda impressed with myself, my previous PR on BB rows was 185x3. I havent done any in 2 months and I cranked out a PR of 225 for one good solid pull to between navel and nipples and another rep to navel. It was way cool rowing what I used to DL:)

What kind of pain are you getting?

I've noticed on my heavy sets of OHP that I get some pain in my left shoulder.  I also catch myself compensating by subtly shifting my body and the weight to my right arm.
