6-7 years of back pain... gone after the first 10 minutes.  I've been doing it for about a month now and I highly recommend it to the repetitive motion athletes on here.  I thought I had a strong core, but keeping your balance in some of these funky poses proved me wrong.  It's definitely helped my riding form and overall comfort.

My wife is in the middle of getting her pilates cert right now- the stuff is no joke! Not only is it tough (if you have a good teacher) but it can also really get thing "back in place" so to speak.

I just did the Yoga X for the first time, it kicked my ass. I don't have real good balance but by the time I got done I felt great.

I was shocked at how hard yoga is and how much better I felt after I started doing it.  It stretches things you didn't know could be stretched and strengthens things you wouldn't know how to work.

How often do you do it? Do you go to a class or is it more of an at home thing?

I've been doing it at home, about 10 minutes a day so far. I followed the above youtube vid and one other until I found a routine that flowed nicely.

I'm not brave enough for a class yet; I've definitely broken a sweat with the new dvd my wife got: Yoga For Athletes.

They have a Yoga class at my BJJ school. I haven't attended, simply because I don't have th time, but sometimes we do some Yoga during warm ups for BJJ and I like it. Thought about doing it on the weekend by following a tv show,  this reminds me to try again.

Honestly yoga has been one of the best things that has helped me build overall strength. I do strength training often with heavy lifting and I know yoga really helps keep my muscles loose enough to help my gains and strength. Right now there's only one class for about 60-90 minutes a week where I live at, but trust me it is worth the time investment. Shit I would do it 3x a week if I could find it locally. Plus, the ladies.

I had always wanted to do Yoga but never had time to attend a class. So years ago I purchased the Ali MacGraw Yoga tape. It is sometimes hard to follow watching a tape but I have never felt better doing another form of exercise. I highly recommend Yoga.

I'm glad you brought this up. I have been very interested in starting something like this lately. I think yoga would be a good addition to my workouts, not just for adding flexibility, but for adding more strength in muscles I normally don't work. I might start off with the P90 X yoga video and go from there.

I love me some Yoga.

It's a great workout and also good for my Jiu-Jitsu game.

Definitely something I need to try.

Heard great things about it, but just haven't tried to find a video or anything. Will definitely see about changing that.

Good thread.
