Has anyone tried TRX Suspension training? Using gravity and the lack of weights is intriguing. Usually any workout product like this is gimmicky, but I could actually see myself enjoying using it..anyone have first hand experience?

The military uses them extensively, especially on deployment.  Marines hang them off the side of the 7 tons.

They are available for purchase/or use at all of the facilities here on Okinawa.

My new gym has a couple of these setup and I love 'em. I've just been doing a few basics like pushups, chest pulls, and dips on them, but the trainer was showing me a lot more exercises today for core, obliques etc… and I'm definitely digging it.

Any workout that I do that has some fairly basic bodyweight exercises, I've ben trying to do on the TRX instead, it creates so much instability you really have to work hard to do some pretty simple exercises.

Got some ratchet straps and an anchor point?

The exercises look good, quite varied and requiring a lot of stabilization from smaller muscles.  Probably a good synergistic effect from that, but it looks like you could easily make your own set.

You can build you own for about $20.00 after a trip to home depot, which is what I did.

Some of the exercises are good and I use it at least once a week but the $200.00 they want for that thing is crazy.

I've done some core work with my feet in the straps and my hands in a push-up position. It definitely gives you some excellent options and really brings coordination into play.

I've seen them used. They look like fun, and you can do a lot of gymnastic type things on them, which is awesome.
