I recently attended  a LR  shooting seminar in Pa. and the two instructors spoke about using the Mildot- Master during matches. While I recognize the utility of this item when using a Mildot Reticle, it appears to me that Mildot-Master  is only partially useful in my situation  because of my use of  Nightforce's  NXS 5.5 X 22 and SHV 4 X14 both with  MOA Reticles.(MOAR )

Is there a MOA equivalent device out there ?

It seems that my only recourse it to generate multiple table with all target sizes.

What was your reasoning for getting a MOA reticule if you're shooting long range if you planned on ranging with it? It can be done, but personally I don't care for it and I feel it isn't as accurate a ranging method. If that's what you have however, use this and I hope I'm remembering it correctly since I've used the mil relation formula exclusively...

size of tgt in inches divided by the size of the tgt in MOA X 100 equals range in yards

Hopefully someone can confirm that or you can look it up but I think that's correct for using a MOA reticule. Learn the pen and paper way first, then go on to using gadgets and making charts/DOPE.

the mildot master works MOA and MIL

for MOA, you use the right side

so, a 14" target that ranges at 4moa on your scope is at 333y "ish"

^^^What he said. The Mildot Master works with both mil and MOA equally well. I used both in matches. Disregard the "Bullet Drop" title at the top of the column and just use that right column as your main mil/MOA input. I use that side with either as it breaks down the graduations finer for both and makes your end result more accurate.

Was that Freddy and Mike you took the class with?

The proper number to use with true MOA is 95.5 and not 100. 100 is used for shooter MOA/IPHY.

Also nothing wrong with MOA as you can shoot and range just as accurate with it as mils. It's just a different way to get to the same place.

That's why I'm glad you guys came in. I've never used MOA to range.
