I have the chance to get a  Razor HD Gen 2 4.5-27x56mm at a great deal but have to act pretty fast.  I've purchased the rifle and was saving up to buy the scope when this deal came along.  I have not had the chance to really read which reticle would best suit me.  I am open for opinions, advice and suggestions as I want to get into the long range game and figure I would buy a nice scope and be done with it. Not super familiar with the MRAD.

If you're going to shoot in PRS type matches get the EBR-2C for sure. Mil or MOA is your choice. I prefer Mil. You don't need to know the math to use mils for hold-offs, just read your dope and hold accordingly. It's just a different angular measure, not harder or easier. It's an easy transition.

The 4.5-27x is a kick ass scope. I was so happy with it I ran right out and got the 3-18x50 as well and sold off my USO's.

Here's an article I wrote for longrangehunting.com that will help you out regarding reticles in general. http://www.longrangehunting.com/articles/riflescope-reticles-1.php

I think the razor 2 4.5-27 is a great scope for 2000$ ive only looked through 2 gen 2s, 2 new khales, and a S&B and im partial to the gen 2. Plus its significantly cheaper

I got a 3-18 on a super deal last year and it lives in a JP mount on an 18" AR. The scope is heavy as hell, but otherwise fantastic.

The thing that kind of discounts the 3-18 for me is the price and weight. Isn't it nearly the same as the 4.5-27 in all aspects? Weight is like 2oz less and price is like $200 less. I just got the 1-6 gen 2 and it's super awesome. I hope to have a need for the 4.5-27 soon, and that might lead to just getting all 3, we'll see.
