I have s sks with wartack mount and a Bushnell Elete 3200 10 power scope.
I was having trouble with the elevation.  For some reason the scope would not adjust enough down.
They sent my scope back after looking it over and said it was fine and to shim it.
So does anyone have an advice before I do this?
I watch a few videos of guys using strips cut from a pop can placed in the rings.
Thanks for any advice.

what zero are you using 100yds?
if your zero is too close you might run into this problem.
sks/7.62x39 PR?
Shimming a scope would be ok considering the accuracy of the round.
Not sure this falls under PR.

Just wondering what the scope center line over bore height is?

I would think the only way to shim would be the base, not the rings. The scope barrel to ring contact area would be very poor.  Just looked at the mount, I would mount the scope and then just loosen the ring to rail clamps and shim the rear. This would maintain ok contact between the rings and the scope barrel.

I will get that tomorrow.
I will try sighting in without shimming first.  But maybe it needs it.  Hope not.
