| Hello all. Where I work I was talking to one of our paint reps and he mentioned that he had a used Vortex Viper PST 6-24X50 FFP scope that he was planning on selling. I'm not sure what reticle it has? He is asking $750 for it. I'm also not sure if it's a gen one or two? Is this a fair price? What reticle does everyone like and why. Is there anything I should look out for? Thanks for the help!!! |

With the Vortex warranty even if you get sold a broken scope, Vortex will replace it.
I'm sure most people prefer the EBR2 MRAD reticle. My personal has the EBR1 just because they didn't have the EBR2 out yet. I wasn't aware there was a gen 1 or gen 2 in the PST line. The price sounds fair to me. |

There may not be a gen 2, I'm new to Vortex and I've been on line trying to find out as much info as I can and I may have read the wrong thing. Or maybe people are calling the EBR2 a gen 2?

| Thank you all for all the info. I'm looking at the scope tomorrow(Thursday) and if it isn't damaged or beat up I'm going to buy it. It's supposed to be a FFP from what I was told. I have a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 on backorder and a Silencerco Omega that just got approved, so I'm thinking I will have a sweet setup for my first long range rifle. |

Damn, you're building a close cousin of my next rifle. Tikka T3 in 260 Rem (6.5) with the same glass as you but a Dead Air Sandman. |

Check cabelas bargain cave the Anchorage AK cabelas has line 6 of them for @$650 Careful though. There are multiple versions of this scope at multiple price points. You have the Viper HS, HST, PST (gen1), and PST (gen2). They all look about the same and it is easy to get confused. |

Our rifles will all be related - I've got a Ruger Precision in 6.5 Creedmoor with a Vortex PST 6-24x50 FFP that I'll be running a Dead Air Sandman S on once I get my approval. |
