i am mounting a Seekins rail (pic 20moa)on my fp10.  The portion of the receiver where the two rearward screws attach is flat.  The bottom portion of the rail is curved (concave) at that point.  Did I buy the wrong rail?  Will the space below the rear of the rail make any difference?  Thanks

Sounds wrong, those surfaces should match.

I did further digging and the rifle I have is an "older" savage with a flat vs round rear receiver area and Badger makes a rail for it.  Midway has it, I'll get it next Thursday
