From what I can tell there are a couple different options: air dry cerakoting or the regular bake, but at a lower temperature. What have you guys/gals done and what would you recommend? If it helps at all, it'll be a Vortex Viper HS 5-15x44. I know Vortex stands by their warranty, but would cerakoting void it? I'm also kind of unsure what route to go because even if Vortex would stand by their warranty and send me a new scope, they would send the newer version because the 5-15 isn't made anymore.. I kind of want to keep it because it's "rare" now.

I just coated a Primary arms and used air cure for the sight....regular high heat products for the rest of the rifle. I know its not the same optic but the info I got when I called said dont heat any optic to the temps required for bake on coatings.

What did you think of the air dry? I know you don't want to put a scope in at full temperature (over 200 degrees), but if you put it in at a lower temp for longer time apparently it works.
