I have a savage 110 action (savage 220 slug gun), a DNZ mount (aluminum), and a vortex diamondback hp scope.

DNZ recommended anywhere from 25-35 in/lbs for their rings but wot comment on the base screws.

Vortex said do not exceed 20 in/lbs for scope rings

So given all these variables, what should I torque rings to and what should I torque the base to?

Also, should I vibra-tite rings and base or just one or the other?

Thanks for any help.

Well I have no idea what a DNZ mount is or what vibratite is but.... generally touque values a based on the size of the fastener.

So if you have a 1/4-20 screw you can google a fastener torque spec chart and look it up.

I use blue Loc-tite on all threads.

Use Vortex's numbers or risk crushing the tube.  They know whats best for their scopes.
