So I'm looking to play around a little bit, and looking for an excuse to build a rifle.  Will probably not go past 800.  I have a number of barrels I am looking at, but I'm not sure if I sould go 18 or 20".  There shouldn't be a huge velocity difference, correct?  Any preference?

Thanks

I like the 20". I've been considering going with 22" for my next DMR barrel. I've been shooting gas gun matches the last two years and the extra velocity helps on the longer shots.

Remember, you're not just trying to plink at the 800 yard target, but instead want to hit it as many times as possible.

I just switched from an 18" to a 20" for extra velocity, so my vote goes to 20".

20" it is. I see Brownells offers their 'premium' 20" made by Satern for a fairly modest price. I think I might go that route, as they seem well regarded.

My PRS tac light gas gun has a 20" Larue Stealth barrel in it and I've been happy with it.
