What manufactures out there make a solid .308 precision AR.... but in a piston driven platform? Why piston? Because I love running a suppressor and I'm tired of inhaling gas and dealing with a filthy ass receiver afterwards. Id absolutely LOVE to get a GAP or JP but theyre all DI. Only piston option im aware of is LWRCI REPR MKII.
Thoughts? Options? |
| I can't help on the AR10 platform but I love my Adams Arms on the 6.5 Grendel. Cleaner cases no receiver mess and it's actually a little softer recoiling after removing some weights from the buffer and replacing with a spring front and back. Now for the bad side do not place hand over the gas block without gloves! |

Impressive, figured you'd be throwing 129's. With any luck I'll be swapping my OBR to a 22" .260 this weekend and hope to be able to be consistent out to ~1,400...if I can talk a buddy into letting me shoot that far on his hunting land ![]() |

Are the people saying that they aren't getting any mess or gas using the piston set up running suppressed? Cause if so, that hasn't been my experience.
ETA: Here's a post from a good friend of mine from back in the day but, throw a suppressor on a piston AR and this is the same result I've gotten. I'm a lefty and bought a few piston AR's specifically to try and combat that gas blowback I was getting but, after a couple years of running them, a Gas buster CH and Adjustable gas block seems to work best for me.
