LGS had 2 boxes of Hornady 123 gr SST's. Picked them both up. Moving back to my house in FL next week, so I will finally be able to finish my 2 builds, do some reloading and get both Grendel's and the Creedmoor out to the range. I've accumulated the part for the builds and more than a few add on for my reloading gear while I've been out West.
The SST's have the same BC as the AMAX so they should make for a good load in the Grendel's. My current Grendel likes the 123 gr AMAX, so these SST should do well hopefully. I have some 120 gr AMAX and 140 gr ELD Match for the Creedmoor. Cant wait to get that built and try it out. Then all that will be left for it is purchasing the glass. My understanding wife has already been told I will be parting with some money. New jobs sign on bonus will cover the cost nicely. Gotta love when you have a bunch of new stuff to mess with. |
